Multistate Research Projects
Multistate
research projects focus on high-priority
topics among the state agricultural experiment
stations (SAESs) in partnership with CSREES,
other research institutions and agencies,
and the Cooperative Extension System. Their
goal is to enable joint problem-solving
activities beyond the scope of a single
SAES, and to provide a more efficient and
comprehensive approach to resolving serious
problems. Among the multistate research
projects that focus on environmental and
resource economics issues are:
Another example of the multistate approach
is the Southern
Natural Resource Economics Committee (SERA
30), a coordination and planning group. This
group's objective is to provide needed information
to federal and state agencies so that a prudent
decision can be made that enhances the economy
and protects the environmental quality in the
region.
