TICKETS TO A HUMILIATING EVENING…

In Dec.06 I purchased 4 tickets to Jersey Boys on Broadway. Jersey Boys is a sold out Bwy show and the purchased tickets retailed for close to $1000. Through an online classified ad service, we contacted and later purchased the 4 tickets for approx. 600. We were thrilled as this show is wonderful and tickets are very hard to come by. The ticket seller has a policy of not paying for your tickets until the next day. Because my husband and I are honest and considerate people, we sent the money via wire transfer immediately upon receiving the 'emailed tickets.' That evening, we took the train into Manhattan, waited in line, handed the tickets to the matron and were horrified to have the matron treat us as criminals - stopped the entire line, called for the manager and ultimately, security to lead us (physically holding our elbows) out of the theater. Two of the tickets were bogus. We had the e-tickets in our possession, but they were someone else's tickets. I immediately placed a call to Calif (where I bought the tickets) but never had my call answered. Called my bank to inquire as to whether the money had been charged to my account. When I learned that it hadn't, I immediately canceled the account. I did this because I thought that the credit card company had some oversight of their charges. We have tried in vain to make both phone and email contact with the scammers, but to no avail. We have now filed a complaint with the FBI so that no one else will suffer our disappointment and HUMILIATION!
