OSHA Training Will Help Employers Identify Accident Trends In The Workplace
Recordkeeping Seminar at Elgin Community College on April 24

AURORA, Ill. -- Employers can get help in identifying and analyzing accident trends in the workplace at an advanced OSHA recordkeeping seminar at Elgin Community College on Thursday, April 24.

Co-sponsored by a partnership between the U. S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the state of Illinois, Northern Illinois University, and the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), the seminar will feature safety and health professionals from the government and private sector.

Employers will learn how accident trends affect their workers compensation premiums and how to calculate incidence and days away, restricted, and transferred (DART) rates using the OSHA 300 log.

In the hands-on practice session, attendees will learn how to improve their accident investigation process and analyze trends.

The seminar will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Elgin Community College, Business Conference Center, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin, Ill.

The fee for the seminar, handout materials, and refreshments is $125. Advance registration is required. Attendees will earn 0.6 continuing education units.
