National Farm Machinery Show 2007
FSA participated in the 42nd Annual National Farm Machinery Show (NFMS) in Louisville on February14 through February 17. FSA showcased digital imagery, which included Geographic Information System (GIS), Common Land Unit (CLU), and the National Agricultural Imagery Program (NAIP). Visitors at the FSA booth could view a presentation on what GIS is and the benefits of using GIS, CLU, NAIP, and how these programs could assist them. The Aerial Photography Field Office (APFO) provided aerial photography for the display. Staffs from the Kentucky State and County offices and APFO were on hand to answer any questions visitors had regarding access to digital imagery and FSA programs.
The NFMS is one of the largest indoor farm shows in the nation. Approximately 800 exhibitors from across the United States exhibit the latest products and services on breeder services, irrigation equipment, feed and nutritional information, grain handling and storage equipment, outdoor power equipment, seeds and fertilizer, trucks, tractors and trailers. The exhibits and free educational seminars offered at the farm machinery show provide intelligent solutions to the challenges facing agriculture in the 21st century.
In addition to the exhibitors, over 300,000 people from across the US and Canada attended the National Farm Machinery Show.
