Right to Know Hazardous Substance Fact Sheets

The Fact Sheets are prepared for substances on the New Jersey Right to Know Hazardous Substance List.  More than 1,600 Fact Sheets have been completed and more than 800 have been translated into Spanish. The Fact Sheets are prepared on pure substances and contain information on health hazards, exposure limits, personal protective equipment, proper handling, first aid, and emergency procedures for fires and spills.

Emergency Responders can now access the Emergency Responders Quick Reference for all Fact Sheets that have been converted to the new format. Options (see above right) include a search feature or going to the A-Z listing and clicking on the symbol.

The Quick Reference (last page of the RTK Hazardous Substance Fact Sheet) provides comprehensive safety and health information on a hazardous substance when responding to a chemical emergency. Please note that health and safety information is also available for Fact Sheets in the old format.

The list of substances with a Quick Reference is updated as Fact Sheets are converted to the new format.
