DO YOU NEED Financing?

SBA

  • Transactional financing to fill orders or a revolving line of credit for export sales
  • Real estate or equipment financing for plant expansion related to exporting
  • Marketing funds for participation in overseas trade show, brochures, etc.
  • Supplier financing for pre-export inventory (for either manufacturers or trading companies)
  • Accounts receivable financing to support export sales post-shipment
  • Buyer financing in order to pay the exporter for U.S. made goods
  • Working capital to fulfill export service contracts
  • Financing for bid or performance bonds related to export projects

The U.S. Small Business Administration has a representative in the Denver U.S. Export Assistance Center who can address these needs and more. He serves as a resource person providing information on a wide range of international financial assistance programs and international finance questions for exporters in the Rocky Mountain West, covering the states of Arizona, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Wyoming.

The SBA’s primary focus is to help companies obtain financing for any business purpose that can help start, strengthen, or grow their export sales. Dennis Chrisbaum can provide access to SBA’s export finance programs, as well as information on other government programs that support U.S. companies doing international business, including those of the Export-Import Bank, the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, and the Trade Development Agency.

In addition, the SBA staff serves as a clearing house for export financing questions and as a source of information on acceptable international methods of payments, how to insure payment from a foreign buyer, how to finance the expansion of plant and equipment with long-term financing, how to finance short-term working capital needs with a revolving line of credit, or other export finance-related questions.
