Robyn N. Gordon is Deputy Director for the Center Operations Directorate for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) John H. Glenn Research Center at Lewis Field in Cleveland, Ohio. In this capacity, she plays a principal role in managing organizational objectives, direction, resource allocation and overall institutional functions. Gordon also coordinates and integrates activities of the institution, which cross directorate organizations. Additionally, she assists in determining the institutional issues that could affect the execution and performance of the center's research programs and recommends effective solutions to the Center Operations Director. Prior to this position, Gordon was Chief of the Office of Diversity, before which she was Chief of the Office of Human Resources and Workforce Planning at Glenn.

Before joining Glenn, Gordon attained a wealth of leadership experience within the field of human resources. While employed at the Cuyahoga County Public Library, she served as the Assistant Human Resources Director and Equal Opportunity Officer; and for nearly eight years, she worked for the City of Cleveland as a Human Resources Administrator, Personnel Administrator and Labor Relations Officer.

Gordon, a Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources, is a graduate of Cleveland State University. She has a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management.

Gordon is a member of the Junior League of Cleveland, the Organizational Development Task Force of the Greater Cleveland Partnership -- Commission on Economic Inclusion, the YWCA, and the League of Women Voters. Previously, she was a member of the United Cerebral Palsy Board of Directors.

Her professional and personal accomplishments have been recognized by numerous organizations. In 2006 she received a Minorities in Research Science Trailblazers award and a National Women of Color Technology Award for Community Service.

Gordon is participating in the Federal Government Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program, class of 2006.
