 Environmental and Sustainable
 Technology Evaluations (ESTE)

  The Environmental and Sustainable Technology Evaluations (ESTE) projects respond directly to EPA's need for credible performance information on technologies that can address high-risk environmental problems. ESTE maintains the quality assurance, stakeholder involvement, and cost-sharing that are the fundamental operating principles of ETV.

Under ESTE, the prioritized verification categories are chosen by the Office of Research and Development (ORD) with program office and regional office support. ORD project managers direct the verifications using contractor support. All environmental technology categories are considered under ESTE.

ESTE funding was awarded to five projects in 2005 and one project in 2006:
