Summary: A bill to amend the Solar, Wind, Waste, and Geothermal Power Production Incentives Act of 1990 to decrease from 80 megawatts the size limitations placed upon solar, wind, and geothermal facilities eligible for regulatory benefits under the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978.

Summary: A bill to provide for an accelerated program of wind energy research, development, and demonstration, to be carried out by the Department of Energy with the support of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and other Federal agencies.


Short Title: Pacific Northwest Electric Power Planning and Conservation Act

Summary: A bill to assist the electrical consumers of the Pacific Northwest through use of the Federal Columbia River Power System to achieve cost-effective energy conservation, to encourage the development of renewable energy resources, to establish a representative regional power planning process, to assure the region of an efficient and adequate power supply.

Summary: Provides for a nationally coordinated program to insure the most efficient utilization of forest and rangeland renewable resources. Requires the Secretary of Agriculture to establish a Renewable Resources Extension Program in cooperation with State directors of cooperative extension service programs and eligible colleges and universities.

Short Title: Solar Photovoltaic Energy Research, Development and Demonstration Act
Public Law: 95-590 on November 4, 1978
Summary: Directs the Secretary of Energy to establish programs for researching, developing, and demonstrating solar photovoltaic energy systems with the long-term objective of producing electricity from such systems cost competitive with utility-generated electricity from conventional sources. Established a Solar Photovolatic Energy Advisory Committee to study the scope, pace and peculiar needs of research in solar photovoltaics energy systems and the economic, technological, and environmental consequences of the use of such systems.

Summary: A bill to provide for the early commercial demonstration of the technology of solar heating by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the Department of Housing and Urban Development, in cooperation with the National Bureau of Standards, the National Science Foundation, the General Services Administration, and other Federal agencies, and for the early development and commercial demonstration of technology for combined solar heating and cooling.

Summary:
A bill to further the conduct of research, development, and demonstrations in geothermal energy technologies, to establish a geothermal energy coordination and management project, to amend the National Science Foundation Act of 1950 to provide for the funding activities relating to geothermal energy to amend the National Aeronautics and Space Act of 1958 to provide for the carrying out of research and development in geothermal energy technology, to carry out a program of demonstrations in technologies for the utilization of geothermal resources, and for other purposes.
