The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force Announces the Arrest of Confirmed Mexican Mafia Member by the Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force

The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force LogoSan Antonio, TX – The United States Marshals Service (USMS) sponsored Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) requested the assistance of the USMS sponsored Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force in the arrest of 28 year old Jimmy Mendoza of San Antonio, Texas after learning he was hiding in California.

Jimmy Mendoza went on the run in January of 2008, causing a Federal Arrest Warrant to be issued for Violations of his Supervised Release. A second Federal Warrant was issued shortly thereafter for Federal Racketeering charges. Investigators with the LSFTF diligently pursued all leads, eventually narrowing down the hunt for Mendoza to Ontario, California. This morning, investigators with the LSFTF contacted U.S. Marshals in California and they were able to safely apprehend Mendoza on the information provided.

Mendoza has a significant criminal history to include Weapons Charges. Also a confirmed member of the Mexican Mafia, Mendoza was considered to be armed and dangerous.

The United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas LaFayette Collins said “Our network of fugitive task forces have once again proved their worth. This was just another in a long line of dangerous fugitives taken off of the streets of our communities by our teams.”
