The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force Arrests Joel Barrozo
 
The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force LogoSan Antonio, TX – The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and the San Antonio Police Department’s (SAPD) Repeat Offender Program (ROP) Officers partnered to locate and arrest Indiana fugitive Joel Barrozo yesterday evening.

At approximately 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2008, Lone Star Fugitive Task Force members located Barrozo at a motel on New Laredo Highway in San Antonio. Deputy U.S. Marshals watched as Barrozo exited his motel room. Deputy U.S. Marshals with the assistance of ROP officers surrounded Barrozo and quickly made the arrest without incident.

Barrozo had five (5) felony warrants out of St. Joseph’s County in Indiana. The charges ranged from Rape to Criminal Confinement and Robbery.

The United States Marshal for the Western District of Texas LaFayette Collins said, “This was a significant arrest of a potentially dangerous individual. The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is glad to work hand in glove with the San Antonio Police Department ROP Officers to take violent offenders off of the street.”
