Commerce Committee Announces Witnesses for Oversight Hearing on the Department of Transportation’s Cross-Border Truck Pilot Program
 

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation announces that the Honorable Mary E. Peters, Secretary of the Department of Transportation, and the Honorable Calvin L. Scovel III, Inspector General, U.S. Department of Transportation, will be among the witnesses testifying before the Full Committee Oversight Hearing on the Department of Transportation’s Cross-Border Truck Pilot Program. A full witness list is below.


The Committee will conduct an oversight hearing on the Department of Transportation’s current Cross-Border Truck Pilot Program. This pilot program, administered by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), provides temporary operating authority to a limited number of motor carriers domiciled in Mexico and the United States for cross-border commercial operation.
