Congressional Democrats Pass Longest Extension of Internet Tax Moratorium
WASHINGTON, DC – House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (MD) released the following statement today after the House passed H.R. 3678, the Internet Tax Freedom Act Amendments Act of 2007 by a unanimous vote of 402 to 0:
“Today, the House passed legislation extending the Internet tax moratorium for seven years, the longest extension since the moratorium began. This Democratic-led Congress has acted quickly to respond to the needs of the American people and the business community to renew the moratorium before it could expire. Congress will be able to revisit this issue in 2014 to determine if any adjustments need to be made at that time.”
