These recruits were nominated by Congressman Moore as a part of their application process.

“The extensive application process is designed to select those who will excel both as students and officers,” Moore said. “These six students have consistently proven themselves through academics, civic engagement and physical ability. I congratulate them on this well-deserved honor and look forward to hearing about their many future successes.”

Greg Bradbury, a graduate of Bishop Ward High School and freshman at Central Missouri State University, has been accepted into the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Bradbury was an active sportsman in high school, participating in football, baseball, and basketball. He served as his class President and graduated from Bishop Ward with honors.

Whitney Gremillion has been accepted to the U.S. Air Force Academy. Gremillion is a senior at St. Thomas Aquinas High School, where he is a member of the swim and football teams. He is an Eagle Scout and a member of the National Honors Society. Gremillion is also working to become a certified private pilot.

After graduating from the Naval Academy, Hamilton hopes to train as a Navy SEAL.

Holt is a senior at Blue Valley North High School, currently serving as the National Honor Society President and a member of the wrestling team. In addition, Holt has received the President’s Volunteer Service Award for giving over 120 hours of community service.

McKaig is very involved in various school activities, including orchestra and swimming, as well as community groups, such as the KC Youth Symphony and the Kansas City Sea Sprites, a synchronized swimming team.

Remy is currently in the FALCON Program at Northwestern Preparatory School in Santa Barbara, California, and is a graduate of Olathe Northwest High School. At Olathe Northwest, Remy was one of 44 students chosen to be a Honeywell Mentorship Scholar, a hands-on program emphasizing math and science for students interested in pursuing a career in engineering.

These young men and women will report for orientation for two weeks during the summer before classes start in the fall.
