Gifford Pinchot National Forest History the Subject of Special Program in Morton

 

VANCOUVER, WA – Join Centralia College East and the US Forest Service, at noon on Monday, June 9, 2008, at the Roxy Theater in Morton for a family oriented program to mark the Centennial anniversary of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Forest Heritage Program Manager Rick McClure will discuss the challenges faced by the early rangers in the formative years of the national forest, he will present the lecture dressed in a period 1908 ranger uniform.

This program is free and open to the public. Generous support for the program is provided by: Centralia College East, the Fire Mountain Arts Council, and the Roxy Theater. For more information contact the Centralia College East at (360) 496-5022.

Fire Mountain Arts Council is housed in Morton’s historic 1930’s era, Roxy Theater, which is located at 233 West Main Avenue in Morton, WA 98356.
