Consultations with Georgia's Interim Government

Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Lynn Pascoe will lead an interagency team to meet with officials of Georgia’s Interim Government December 3-6, 2003. The team consists of representatives from the White House, Departments of State, Treasury, Defense and Justice as well as the Trade and Development Agency and the United States Agency for International Development.

The team will meet with members of the Interim Government including Interim President Nino Burjanadze and Interim State Minister Zurab Zhvania. They will also meet with political party leaders.

The discussions will focus on U.S.-Georgian relations. The team will also discuss concrete assistance proposals for Georgia’s upcoming elections and support for Georgia’s political and economic reform.
