MARCH 12, 2008 - MARKEY AND BAND OK GO DISCUSS WHY NET NEUTRALITY MATTERS Print

Rep. Markey sat down with members of OK GO, a band that has gained notoriety through video postings on the Internet, to discuss how Net neutrality principals allow artists free and open access to the Internet and a global audience.

On Feb. 13, 3008, Rep. Markey introduced H.R. 5353, the Internet Freedom Preservation Act, along with Rep. Chip Pickering (R-MS). The bill is designed to assess and promote Internet freedom for consumers and content providers and enshrine the principals of Net neutrality in communications law.

More information about H.R. 5353 is available here .
