Oklahoma City, OK -- The Disaster Recovery Centers at Moore and Henryetta will close at the end of the day on Thursday, June 12, 2003. The centers have successfully served those who needed disaster information relating to the severe storms and tornadoes that began on May 8. So far, just over 1,100 Oklahomans have visited these and the seven other centers that were in operation.

Oklahomans who suffered losses or damage in the May 2003 tornadoes can apply for assistance or discuss their existing application by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362). The deadline to call and apply for assistance is 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2003.
