Environmental & Recycling Program

FLEET MANAGEMENT AND VEHICULAR COMPONENTS REMANUFACTURING/REPAIR

Unfortunately, the "throw it out" mentality still prevalent in our society results in a huge waste of money when engines and engine components (including starters, alternators, rotors and more) are classified as non-repairable and sold for scrap. UNICOR leads the fight against this waste with a reclamation and rebuilding program that saves customers up to 60 percent compared with the cost of buying new equipment.

The rebuild starts with a high pressure washing, using only biodegradable cleaners, in which waste is captured and reduced to its smallest form, prior to removal by commercial waste handlers for environmental disposal.

All components are completely disassembled and individual parts are then tested and subjected to visual, electrical and mechanical inspection. Prior to reassembly, they are returned to "like new" condition, and refinished according to customer and commercial specifications with environmentally sound paint and coatings.

Customers get real peace of mind with UNICOR remanufactured engines and parts, too, as all are warranted for a full six months - not just from the date of return, but from the date they are placed in service.
