Congresswoman Bordallo Visits Guam Cadets at U.S. Air Force Academy 

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE—August 27 , 2008 Washington, D.C.

Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo today visited with cadets from Guam attending the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Eight young men and women of Guam are currently enrolled at the United States Air Force Academy preparing for a commission and a career in the United States Air Force.

“I am always grateful for opportunities to show our support for Guam’s young men and women attending our nation’s military academies,” Congresswoman Bordallo said today. “My visit with Guam’s cadets at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado today revealed that they are performing well under a challenging program. Our community is proud of their accomplishments and their desire to serve our country. They are outstanding individuals. We discussed life at the academy, their achievements and their career goals. Their studies and activities at the Academy is a testament to their focus and dedication. I thanked them for their willingness to serve. I know their parents and families, and our entire island community, are proud of their accomplishments and studies.”
