September 17, 2008 Rhode Island Receives More LIHEAP Funding - Congressman Jim Langevin (D-RI) today announced that Rhode Island will receive an additional $1.9 million in home heating assistance for this winter. This boost in funding brings the state’s Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) funding to $20.9 million for FY 2008.
