WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Representative Diana DeGette (D-CO) released the following statement congratulating Fairview Elementary teacher Linda Alston upon winning the first $100,000 Kinder Excellence in Teaching Award.
“I am extremely proud of Mrs. Alston and the students of Fairview Elementary for winning the first ever Kinder Excellence in Teaching Award. Teachers are the foundation of our community and I am pleased the KIPP Foundation chose to honor one of Denver’s own with this generous award.”
