Statement by the Director of Central Intelligence Porter J. Goss on the Nominations of Director of National Intelligence and Deputy Director of National Intelligence

The nominations of Ambassador Negroponte and General Hayden are welcome news and a critical step in continuing to strengthen our Intelligence Community and to create even better coordinated working relationships and communications between the agencies.

These men are excellent choices. I have worked with Ambassador Negroponte and General Hayden extensively and hold them in the highest regard.
