Books written and published with NEH support have received 15 Pulitzer Prizes and 17 Bancroft Prizes

The Pulitzer Prize has been awarded annually since 1917 by Columbia University. The prize recognizes works of exceptional merit in all areas of journalism, fiction, non-fiction, history, autobiography, and poetry.
