Raizk: 'Proud to be an Ohioan'

Back in town Wednesday following Tuesday’s congressional hearing in the nation’s capital, Wilmington Mayor David Raizk said he is “very pleased” with how it went and with the news the House Judiciary Committee will hold a second hearing on the planned DHL-UPS deal.

Overall, Raizk thinks it’s the “best possible outcome we could have hoped for.” In particular, he feels the Wilmington and southern Ohio perspective was made clear thanks to the help of U.S. senators and representatives from around the Buckeye state.

“I was proud to be an Ohioan. And it’s wonderful to see how all of Ohio has rallied around our cause whether it affects their district or not,” said Wilmington’s third-term mayor.
