Moore announces staff changes

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Congressman Dennis Moore (Third District – Kansas) announced several staff promotions in his Washington, D.C., office on Wednesday, as well as the hiring of Brandon Naylor, who joins the staff as Executive Assistant and Office Manager.

“I am very proud to have a dedicated and hard-working staff,” Moore said. “It is a pleasure to work with each of these bright individuals, and I am very grateful for the service they continue to provide the people of the Third District of Kansas.”

Laura Hall has been promoted to Legislative Director, having previously served as Legislative Assistant and Legislative Correspondent for Moore. In addition to her duties as Legislative Director, Hall will be responsible for several issue areas, including foreign affairs and homeland security. She is a 2003 graduate of Miami University in Ohio, where she received Bachelor’s degrees in both international studies and diplomacy & foreign affairs. Hall graduated from Blue Valley Northwest High School, and is the daughter of John and Ann Hall. Hall is replacing Andy Lewin, who is now the Assistant Vice President for Federal Affairs with Zurich, a property-casualty insurance company.

Adam Pase, who has been in Moore’s office since April 2005, has been named Senior Legislative Assistant. Pase graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2004 with Bachelor’s degrees in finance and philosophy. Prior to joining Moore’s office, Pase was the manager of congressional affairs for the Twenty-First Century Group. As Senior Legislative Assistant, he is responsible for financial services, health care and telecommunications issues, among others. Moore is a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee. Pase is the son of Sharon and Stuart Pase in Leawood, KS, and is a 2000 graduate of Shawnee Mission South High School.

Glen Sears will handle new duties for Moore, serving as Legislative Assistant and Deputy Communications Director. Sears was the Staff Assistant in Moore’s district office before joining the D.C. office in August 2005, as Executive Assistant and Office Manager. He earned Bachelor’s degrees in political science and economics from the University of Kansas in 2003. Sears’ list of legislative responsibilities includes immigration, campaign finance reform and Social Security. His parents, Gary and Shirley Sears, reside in Olathe, KS, where Sears graduated from Olathe South High School in 1997.

Brandon Naylor has been hired to replace Sears as Executive Assistant and Office Manager in Moore’s D.C. office. Naylor is from Topeka, KS, where his parents, Gail and Thomas Naylor, currently reside. He is a 2001 graduate of Topeka High School. Naylor, who recently earned a Bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Kansas, is responsible for scheduling meetings for Kansans wishing to meet with the Congressman while in Washington, D.C.
