Stay informed during the blackout periods!
September 15, 2006

Dear Friends,

I regularly send email newsletters to my constituents to keep you updated and informed on my work in Congress and here in New York. These newsletters cover a variety of topics, including tips to protect consumers from identity theft, the Medicare prescription drug program and rising energy prices.

But, I'd like to let you know that due to rules of the U.S. House of Representatives concerning communication and elections, there will be a blackout period through Election Day in November during which I will be limited in the ways that I may communicate with you. The blackout period begins this week.

In order to stay up to date about my work on your behalf, I encourage you to “opt-in” to receive my email newsletter. By “opting in,” you will be able to continue receiving the newsletter even during the blackout period.

Please know that if you “opt-in” to receive the newsletter, you can “opt-out” at any time.

For more information concerning my work in Congress, please visit my website or send me an email.
