BOSTON - Senator John Kerry today congratulated the Massachusetts Legislature for passing Senator Marc Pacheco’s Global Warming Solutions Act late last night.

“Massachusetts has shown once again that while the Bush Administration denies or defers the big challenges of our age, the states will lead the way. By adopting a comprehensive plan for curbing global warming, Massachusetts is again a trailblazing state. I am grateful to the leadership of Senator Marc Pacheco, who along with House Speaker Salvatore DiMasi, Senate President Therese Murray, Governor Deval Patrick, Natural Resources and Environment Committee House Chairman Frank Smizik and Senate Chairwoman Pamela Resor, is making sure Massachusetts confronts the tough issues.”
