United Nations to spend $4.3M for lavish upgrades to Secretary General's Manhattan Apartment

U.S. taxpayers expected to donate $1M to cover the costs


The United Nations last week approved a $4.3 million plan for a super-luxe makeover to the Secretary General's New York apartment.  The U.S. taxpayer, who covers 22% of all U.N. operating expenses, will be expected to donate $1 million towards this lush project.

Part of the plan is to spend $200,000 on a new kitchen alone.  For $200,000, the U.N. could purchase 200,000 malaria pills to help save 200,000 kids suffering in Africa.  Surely a normal, everyday kitchen is worth 200,000 lives?
