ENGEL'S CALLING CARD FRAUD BILL PASSES SUBCOMMITTEE
09/17/08 Congressman Eliot Engel’s legislation to crack down on multi-million dollar fraud by the telephone calling card industry, was unanimously passed by the Commerce Trade and Consumer Protection Subcommittee Tuesday. His bill, the Calling Card Consumer Protection Act (HR 3402) would require calling card companies to disclose in clear language all terms, conditions and fees in their advertisements.read more -
