U.S. Sen. Dick Lugar was notified today that the Economic Development Administration (EDA) will invest $925,337 in the expansion of the Eastside Industrial Park in Kendallville, Indiana.

The anticipated impact and outcome of the investment is estimated to create 200 jobs and generate $54 million in private investment. The total project cost is estimated at $1,850,674.

This funding will be used to construct infrastructure to promote the expansion of the Kendallville Eastside Industrial Park to accommodate its expanding businesses and development demands.

“This is wonderful news for Kendallville,” Lugar said.  “I am pleased that funding has been provided to make critical infrastructure improvements to accommodate expanding businesses and spur economic growth, and I am hopeful that the Industrial Park development will provide new jobs in Noble County.

“The EDA provides important federal funding that can be leveraged by local officials responsible for ensuring that our communities have adequate infrastructure to support existing businesses and attract prospective companies. These programs are essential in our efforts to improve the quality of life and the standard of living for Hoosier families.”
