Who is eligible?
All New Hampshire law enforcement officers, whether they
are serving full or part-time, including local, county, state, and
federal law enforcement agencies, are eligible to be nominated for
a Congressional Law Enforcement Award.
Who can nominate?
Officers can be nominated for an award by a local citizen,
a fellow or supervising officer, a city, town official or a government
agency.
How do I nominate someone?
There is no formal application; nominators are asked to
forward a statement describing why they feel the nominee should
receive recognition. It is recommended that the nominator include
departmental citations, letters of recommendations, newspaper clippings,
or personal accounts of the officer’s service.

Who selects the award winners?
The winners are selected by an independent committee of
law enforcement officers. The committee is comprised of Federal,
State, County, and Local law enforcement personnel both current
and retired. The members of the Congressional delegation are NOT
involved in the decision making process.
