On October 10, 2007, the Subcommittee on National Security and Foreign Affairs held a hearing entitled, “Six Years Later: Assessing Long-Term Threats, Risks and the U.S. Strategy for Security in a Post-9/11 World.” This hearing was the first in a series of bipartisan hearings into long-term U.S. national security strategy six years after 9/11 and featured top experts and innovative proposals for protecting U.S. national security interests.
