Training and continuing education
November 4-10: C. Burroughs attended the American Evaluation Association annual conference in Washington, D.C.:
- Presented a talk entitled: "Developing an
Evaluation Guide for the National Network of
Libraries of Medicine."
- Attended 3 continuing education courses covering: collaborative evaluation; focus group interviewing; and questionnaire development.
Web site development
Conducted phone and email correspondence with Dr. Zoe Stavri, consultant, to clarify goals and expectations for an online learning resource re: outreach planning and evaluation. Outcome of discussions resulted in a decision to shift Dr. Stavri's role to one as an advisor.
Consultation with Network members and NNO
C. Burroughs served as a reviewer for 3 proposals received by NN/LM SCR in response to their "Closing the Gap" RFP.
C. Burroughs continued discussions with the NN/LM SCR to help provide suggestions on how the projects might evaluate their efforts.
As a resource to the evaluation consultant for Tribal Connections Phase 3 (TC3), C. Burroughs attended TC3 staff meetings and provided input on the development of the projects objectives and hoped for outcomes.
NLM approved funding of the Tribal Connections 4 Corners proposal submitted by Claire Hamasu in the NN/LM, MCR. C. Burroughs continued to assist with planning and initiating this project, and recruited the evaluation consultant who was subsequently hired to plan and facilitate a mapping workshop with TC4 collaboration participants.
C. Burroughs continued to participate in conference calls of the public libraries and public health evaluation task forces and assisted the chairs in preparing final reports submitted to NNO in January.
Assistance with analysis, synthesis, and reporting of evaluation results

Communications and collaboration
C. Burroughs continued maintaining and updating the OERC website.
Utilization and promotion of the evaluation guide
NN/LM PNR continued to distribute the guide based on request.
Administration
C. Burroughs developed a Year 3 budget and narrative for the OERC and submitted it to NLM.
