Recodification of Federal Regulations: 27 CFR Part 290
Becomes Part 44
Washington, DC - The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms
(ATF) announces that it is recodifying the regulations pertaining to the
exportation of tobacco products and cigarette papers and tubes, without
payment of tax or with drawback of tax. The regulations formerly found
at Part 290 of Title 27 of the Code of Federal Regulations have been reissued
as 27 CFR Part 44. The final rule makes no substantial changes in the
regulations themselves other than renumbering. The change was made to
improve the organization of Title 27.
The effective date of the change is August 20, 2001. Click
