CFR Section Descriptions:  The Conditions of Participation (CoPs) include patient rights, discharge planning, quality assessment and performance improvement, food services, administration, staffing, physical environment, life safety from fire, and utilization review.

The Conditions for Coverage (CfCs) include definitions and terms, valid election requirements, estimate of expenditures and adjustments, monitoring expenditure level, sunset provision, basis and purpose of providing home service, payment for home service, and excluded services.

Brief Description of Documents:  These CoPs and CfCs describe the minimum health and safety standards that providers must meet to be participating providers.
