RDC Program AreasThe Coast Guard Research and Development Center manages a broad portfolio of a dozen program areas and more than 50 projects. The Center also supports the Coast Guard Acquisition Directorate and the Deepwater project. As part of the Coast Guard Acquisition organization, the Coast Guard Research & Development Center (RDC) tests the feasibility and affordability of new technologies, and provides risk-management analysis at all stages of the acquisition process. In addition, the R&D Center provides research, development, testing, and evaluation services for new technologies.
