Have fun running (or walking) at this annual 5K event. Since its beginning, the Answer to Cancer Foundation has benefited organizations such as the HBF who are dedicated to hepatitis B and liver cancer. The annual race was started by Adrian Elkins who died pre-maturely at age 20 from liver cancer due to chronic hepatitis B.

Swim Team Raises Funds for Hepatitis B Foundation
August 29 - The Nassau Swim Team recently raised funds for the Hepatitis B Foundation in honor of Andrew Wise, a former team member, coach, and lifeguard who tragically died at the age of 24 from hepatitis B and liver cancer.

Young Researchers Make Valuable Contributions August 8 - Six college students were hand-picked to work side-by-side with university professors and scientists involved in the latest research designed to develop better ways to detect and treat viral diseases as part of the Summer Research Internship Program sponsored by the Hepatitis B Foundation.
