Chemical Spill Guided Tour: Part 8

CAMEO training session.

NOAA Office of Response and Restoration (OR&R) staff members and their U.S. Environmental Protection Agency colleagues frequently hold training classes for CAMEO users, but cannot meet all the demand for training by themselves.

Through an instructor certification program, experienced CAMEO users can train to become CAMEO instructors. There are now more than 100 certified CAMEO instructors in the U.S. and France, who train thousands of responders in CAMEO and/or ALOHA every year.

Here, OR&R staff members lead a training session during a national workshop for CAMEO users held in 1995 in Louisville, Kentucky.
