Institutions of higher education (IHEs) face special challenges in preparing for a potential pandemic—what to do about residential facilities, study abroad programs, and other issues. IHEs can begin planning and preparing for these challenges now. Resources on this page may be of help.

• The American College Health Association (ACHA) has created "Guidelines for Pandemic Planning" to identify key areas for consideration and action. ACHA is a membership organization, representing 900 IHEs and over 2,400 individual college health care professionals, which seeks to promote and maintain the health and well-being of postsecondary students.
