November 28, 2007 Meeting Details

The 18th meeting of the American Health Information Community (the Community) took place on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. [Eastern]. The meeting concluded at approximately 12:00 p.m. [Eastern].

The purpose of the meeting was for the AHIC members to discuss a Recommendation from the Community’s Electronic Health Records (EHR) Workgroup on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ authority to require e-prescribing.

This "special" meeting was conducted via conference call only for the Community members, HHS staff, invited presenters, and general public. A time period was allotted before the conclusion of the meeting for the general public to deliver brief (3 minutes or less) oral public comment via telephone.
