Current Agricultural Air
Quality Issues
The Center for Agricultural Air Quality
Engineering and Science (CAAQES), funded
by CSREES, has provided a synopsis of current
agricultural air quality issues.
Controlling air pollutants from agricultural
operations needs to be addressed through
careful research studies, using sound science
and engineering. In the area of agricultural
air quality, these include resolving issues
on particulate matter, gas emissions, odors,
evaluation of dispersion models, emission
factor calculations, and abatement technologies,
among others.
Specific issues are identified in the fact sheets below from CAAQES.
