In an effort to implement the recently enacted Safe Explosives Act, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) is requesting that you display the enclosed poster prominently at your business premises.

The poster will help to serve as a reminder to your customers that beginning May 24, 2003, non-licensees and non-permittees will no longer be able to legally receive explosive materials. We understand that this change in Federal law will affect many people who purchase explosives and would like to educate them regarding the new requirements. The poster additionally provides several ways for people to acquire additional information about the Safe Explosives Act. Of course, any questions can always also be referred to the local ATF office.
