Project Paperclip Date: 05.03.1945 At the end of World War II, German rocket pioneer Wernher von Braun (center in cast) arranged the surrender of his top scientists and engineers. He also delivered along rocket plans and test vehicles, to America. The operation to secure Germany's rocket knowledge was dubbed Project Paperclip.
