Invasive Species
CSREES is an active partner of the federal
Invasive Species Council and contributed
to the Invasive
Species Management Plan, which includes
an action plan for control and management
of invasive species. A part of this plan
recommends that the USDA accelerate the development,
testing, assessment, transfer, and post-release
monitoring of environmentally safe biological
control agents.
The control and management working group
is co-chaired by Robert
Nowierski, CSREES national program leader
for bio-based pest management.
