Summary:
Reclamation proposes to construct a small check dam at the downstream end of a pool below a cascade chute on Hilton Creek in Santa Barbara County. The check dam would allow improved fish passage to better quality spawning habitat for steelhead trout. Construction is anticipated to occur for a duration of 4 weeks. This would coincide with low flows in Hilton Creek and when steelhead trout are not migrating to spawning areas.
