The Asia Healthcare Team/U.S. Commercial Service is part of a Global Healthcare Technologies Team that supports the international expansion of the U.S. healthcare industry. The team is composed of trade specialists from the East Asia region that help U.S. companies:

  • identify and evaluate international partners
  • create market entry strategies
  • provide export related guidance

CHINA AND HONG KONG

China's exceptional economic growth continues as the country further integrates with the global economy. U.S. exports to China continue to grow at an average of over 20 percent. China is the fastest growing foreign market for U.S. goods and the U.S.' second biggest trading partner. Foreign investment is strong with China as one of the main destinations for foreign capital investment.

These high-income markets share common market characteristics, similar regulatory structures and account for a significant share of the region's overall GDP. Because of these factors, we have decided to cooperate on a number of areas to expand U.S. success in these markets. All of these activities are intended to support the goals and objectives of the overall Asia Now program, while highlighting the advantages to our clients of focusing on the entire North East Asia sub-region.
