As a certified mobility instructor for the legally blind, I would like to
support the importance of accessible pedestrian signals and detectable warnings.
Where they do exist, they have been a big improvement that have allowed the
legally blind to remain independent. I can only hope that accessible pedestrian
signals will continue to be used at more complicated traffic intersections and
that detectable warnings will also be used at transportation buildings and at
ramps.
