To Whom It May Concern:

My husband is totally blind and I am visually impaired. We know personally how important audible warnings and crossings are. We have both been almost killed trying to cross a street. Another thing that is needed desperately is driver awareness program in the schools. A lot of people don't even recognize what a white cane means. Please advocate this means of saving lives. It doesn't discriminate anymore than closed captioning discriminates against blind people. Anything that helps any person stay alive is worth while. Thank you, for your attention.
