- White House Says Auto Finance Arms May Get Bailout: Reports

According to White House spokesperson Dana Perino, some U.S. auto makers' financing arms could be eligible to receive aid from the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program. Furthermore, Perino said, the White House has already approved $25 billion in loans to General Motors, Ford Motor, and Chrysler LLC, and is trying to release the money as soon as possible.
